SBA

SBA financing

A loan or line where a government-backed program is part of the structure. Often a larger amount or a longer schedule, and always more documents and a slower clock.

What it is

An SBA lender originates the financing with a government-backed program behind part of it. More parties look at the file. The name is not a yes. Traditional underwriting, including SBA, can take months.

When it fits

A bigger amount, a longer payoff, and an owner who can gather tax returns and state a clear use of funds. You can live with a slower clock.

It is not payroll this week. It is not an MCA with an SBA sticker on it, and it is not a shortcut around a thin request.

What we need to start

The application now. Tax returns and a debt schedule will be asked for if the file goes this way.

What happens next

Submit one application. We package the file and send it to lenders that buy this kind of paper. Options appear in your account when they exist. Sometimes more than one, sometimes none. You compare terms there, pick an option if you want one, and still review that lender's agreement before you sign.

FAQ

Questions about this product

Site-wide answers live on the FAQ page.

Is SBA guaranteed?

No. A government-backed program is part of the structure. It is not an approval, and it is not a promise about terms.

Why is it slower?

More documents and more parties. Tax returns, a debt schedule, and a clear use of funds all get reviewed. That takes time.

Is Keystone the SBA lender?

You apply with Keystone. An SBA lender underwrites and funds. That lender is named on the option and in the agreement before you sign.

What if I cannot wait?

Say so on the application. A shorter product may fit the timing better, and it usually costs more. Choose Not sure if both could work.
