SBA financing vs short-term financing.
SBA programs are government-backed. A bank or other lender originates them. More documents. More parties. Traditional bank underwriting, including SBA, can take months.
Short-term financing is for a gap you can pay back sooner: payroll, inventory, a repair, a receivable that has not landed. Terms often run about 3 to 18 months. The process is usually faster than a bank.
When SBA is the better fit
A larger project. A longer payoff. You can wait on paperwork. You can live with a slower clock. SBA is not a shortcut around a thin request. It is a different product with a different process.
When short-term is the better fit
The need is this month, not this year. The amount pays back as the work turns. Waiting on a bank would miss the window.
You do not have to choose the label first
Choose Not sure on the application if both could fit. One application. We handle the process. You compare your options and the agreements. You are not required to sign.
What to have ready
What to have ready. SBA files take more documents. Short-term can start with the application and statements when you have them.
