FAQ

Common questions.

Site-wide answers. Product questions live on each financing page.

Before you apply

Is Keystone a bank?

No. Financing is provided by third-party lenders. We package the file and show you options. The lender is named on the option and in the agreement before you sign.

Is this for personal use?

No. Business use only.

Do I pay to apply?

No. If a lender funds, that lender pays us.

What if I do not know the product?

Choose Not sure. One application covers the file.

Do you work outside Pennsylvania?

Yes. We are based in Warrington, Pennsylvania, and we work with operating businesses across the United States.

The application

What documents do I need?

The list lives on What to have ready. Start the application first; you can add documents after.

Do you pull credit?

The first part of the form does not. When you sign the application you can authorize a soft inquiry so we can see options. A soft inquiry does not change your score. A hard inquiry only happens later with a lender you choose.

How is a merchant cash advance different from a loan?

An MCA is not a loan. The short version and the comparison live on the merchant cash advance page and the MCA vs a loan guide.

How is invoice factoring different from working capital?

Factoring is not a loan. The invoice factoring page explains the structure next to working capital.

After you hear back

Where do options show up?

In your account, when they exist. Sign in with the email on the application. Drafts you cannot see are not options.

Who do I hear from?

Keystone. Not a rotating set of lenders calling you first.

How long does this take?

It depends on the request and the lender, not a published clock. After we review what you sent, we give an honest timeline. SBA and property requests take longer because more parties look at them.

What if I already have an advance or a loan out?

Say so on the application. Existing positions change what a lender can do with the file. Leaving them out only costs you time.

What if nothing comes back?

We tell you, and we say why if we can. There is nothing owed for looking, and you are not required to sign anything.
